Trilegiant’s Online Loyalty Program Receives New Patent

Trilegiant Loyalty Solutions (TLS) received good news on June 10, 2003 when it was awarded a new patent for their online delivery of a number of incentive and loyalty programs. The new patent supplemented previous patents originally issued to Netcentives, which TLS acquired through a December 2001 auction.

Mark Beller, TLS President, expressed how pleased he was that TLS was given the opportunity to continue enhancing its loyalty program through developing the Netcentives patents. Beller reiterated the company’s firm commitment to providing quality business and service to its clients.

TLS administers points-based loyalty solutions aimed at motivating its customers, partners and employees. The incentive programs are also meant to reward those who are loyal to the company, as well as act as a come-on for customers.

For over 20 years, TLS has remained on top of the loyalty program business by faithfully adhering to its primary purpose of providing a wide variety of solutions that range from simple private-label rewards programs to useful money-saving products. The company’s clients come from various sectors of society and number over 175.

Trilegiant Corporation, TLS’ parent company, received the patent from the United States Patent and Trademark Office. A prominent name in the field of membership services and loyalty businesses, Trilegiant diligently protects it patents from infringement. In fact, when the new patent was released in 2003, Trilegiant was in the process of suing Orbitz, LLC for infringement of the company’s patents.
