VOIP is becoming a household word. VOIP stands for: Voice over Internet Protocol. In simple terms it is your voice being transmitted over an IP based network. • Ease of use: VOIP is really easy to use. You can just plug a product into your computer that is connected to the Internet and go. Seamless.

So how does this salesman call home? There are three major ways you can use VOIP:

All of these require an Internet connection. It should be noted that you can successfully talk over VOIP at dial up modem speeds. This connection will not allow very good performance though. You should have at least 1 megabit download and 256 megabit upload speeds to get the most out of your VOIP conferencing needs.

VOIP is a fantastic way to call next door, or the other side of the world. However for your business needs sometimes a more professional level of conferencing is needed. One that can reliably connect small and large groups of people. Audio conferencing is a popular option as well as web conferencing.
